Support The Bridge

Without the support of the community, The Bridge could not offer a diverse scope of high-quality services to our clients. Individual or group donations are welcomed and appreciated, as are individual volunteers and groups of volunteers.

How Else Can I Help?

Monthly/Annual Giving

Contribute to The Bridge on a monthly or annual basis.  Your gift can help pay for a mother and child to receive safe shelter, a family to eat a nutritious meal, or for a woman to receive much needed counseling.

Memorials/Honorariums/Wills and Bequests

Make a monetary contribution to help women and children in memory of a birthday, holiday, graduation, or to honor a loved one who has passed on.  Leave a lasting legacy by sharing with your attorney and/or family your wishes to designate The Bridge as a beneficiary of your estate.

Capital Campaign

The Bridge is working to build a Children’s Community Center to better serve those clients in need.

Employer Gift Matching Programs

Many companies offer gift matching programs that can increase—even double—the impact of your financial gift and/or volunteer time donated.

Annual Events

The Bridge hosts several events throughout the year. You may support these events by becoming a sponsor, buying tickets or donating in-kind gifts.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It’s a movement that encourages individuals and organizations to give – whether it’s their volunteered time, charitable donations, or even the power of your own “voice” on social media. Join the celebration and give back on #GivingTuesday. This occurs on the first Tuesday of each November.

Amazon Smile

If you use Amazon for holiday shopping – or anytime of the year – be sure to use and choose The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. as your charity. It’s the same Amazon you would normally use (same products, prices, etc.), however 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases will be donated by Amazon to the charitable organization of your choice.

Clothing, Furniture and Other Household Items

Please consider donating to these non-profit resale shops. They allow our clients the dignity of choosing their own clothing and household items while they “shop” at no cost. These shops are mainly run by volunteers so please call them before dropping off donations. All are located in the Pasadena/Clearlake area.
